Hi folks, I’m an OR nursing professional thinking about moving into a surgical technologist role, and I’m trying to understand the main contrasts between the CSFA and CST certification exams. I’ve checked out some comparison charts from the credentialing bodies and read a few discussion posts, but I’m still uncertain on how the content and difficulty really compare, and what kinds of job opportunities each certification might open up. For one thing, which exam tends to be more demanding? Also, from a practical standpoint, how do employers view CSFA vs CST credentials when it comes to advancing or salary potential?
